What your customers will see

These are illustrations of the real flow. We tested each step end to end in Square's test environment; the wording an assistant uses will vary.

In an AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, others)

Customer and assistant
I need a haircut near the Glebe on Saturday, before noon.
Main Street Salon has 10:30 and 11:15 on Saturday. A haircut is 45 minutes, $45. Should I book 10:30?
Yes please. My number is 613-555-0142.
Booked: Main Street Salon, Saturday 10:30, haircut. You'll get a confirmation from the salon. Their cancellation policy is 12 hours' notice.

The assistant must show the customer the business, time and price and get a clear yes before it books. It cannot book on a guess.

If you confirm each booking first

I've sent Main Street Salon a request for Saturday at 10:30. They'll confirm it or suggest another time, and you'll hear back by email.

On your own website

A small booking and quote form you can paste into your site. People use it like any form. Browser assistants (like Chrome's) can fill it in for their user, and search engines can see that you take bookings. See a demo business page.

What you see

Instant bookings appear in Square like any other appointment, with a note that an assistant booked it. If you confirm first, you get a private page with every request: one tap to confirm or decline, with an optional message to the customer.

Coming during the pilot: an email for each new request, and a short monthly report of what came through.

What customers never see

Your other appointments, your prices beyond what you choose to show, your money, or anything from Square except open times and the services you picked.
